999 Green Street

Crowning the summit of prestigious Russian Hill, 999 Green Street—known as The Summit, or the 'Eichler Summit'—is one of San Francisco's most storied mid-century luxury towers. Completed in 1965 by famed Bay Area builder Joseph Eichler and designed by Tibor Fecskes of Neill Smith & Associates, the 32-story tower was a landmark of postwar high-rise residential design, lifting its residential floors atop a sculptural concrete base to capture sweeping panoramas. Its 112 original residences—many since combined into expansive full-floor homes and penthouses—feature signature touches such as in-floor radiant heat, open-plan living, and private walkout decks. From its commanding perch, the building offers some of the finest views in the city, sweeping across the Bay, the Golden Gate Bridge, and the downtown skyline. Long home to civic and social luminaries, it remains one of Russian Hill's most coveted addresses.
